John Craig Flournoy (born June 26, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA) is a journalism professor at Southern Methodist University and a former investigative reporter for ''The Dallas Morning News'', at which his work included coverage of the latter portion of the civil rights movement.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.smu.edu/Meadows/AreasOfStudy/Journalism/Faculty/FlournoyCraig )〕 He has taught since 2003 at SMU, where in 1986, he received a Master of Arts degree in history. He formerly taught courses on computer-assisted reporting, investigative reporting, history of American journalism, and communication law briefly at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. From 1997 to 1998, while on leave from ''The Dallas Morning News'', was the Phillip G.
